Our mission is to educate the public about butterflies through butterfly gardening and conservation in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

The Atala Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association (NABA) was founded in the summer of 1995. Since that time, we have held NABA 4th of July Butterfly Counts every year, countless field trips throughout Florida and quarterly meetings featuring various nature-related topics.
Check calendar for upcoming meetings and butterfly walks.
Meetings are 1:00-3:00 pm in the Mounts Building Auditorium at Mounts Botanical Garden, 531 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Fl 33415, unless otherwise noted. The Mounts Auditorium is at the front of the Garden at the Military Trail entrance. Directions to Mounts Botanical Garden

The Broward County Butterfly Chapter of NABA presents CJ McCartney of the Florida Wildflower Foundation to learn how you can make a huge difference for our butterflies, birds, bees and more! For the last 25 years, CJ has focused on environmental stewardship through botanizing, photographing nature, speaking to community groups and designing/installing wildlife and wildflower gardens. Today she continues her community service with an underlying belief that together we can mitigate the loss of natural habitats by creating a network of wildlife friendly yards to offer our homeless wildlife and native plants a safe and welcoming haven.
