Our mission is to educate the public about butterflies through butterfly gardening and conservation in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
The Atala Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association (NABA) was founded in the summer of 1995. Since that time, we have held NABA 4th of July Butterfly Counts every year, countless field trips throughout Florida and quarterly meetings featuring various nature-related topics. Please note that the date for the Central Count Circle has changed to Friday, June 26. Home garden counts for the Central Circle will have to be done on Friday, June 26. See Home Garden Count Form on 4th of July Butterfly Count Page.
Meetings are 1:00-3:00 pm at Mounts Auditorium/Mounts Botanical Garden, 531 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Fl 33415. The Mounts Auditorium is at the front of the Garden at the Military Trail entrance. Directions to Mounts Botanical Garden https://www.mounts.org/visit-mounts/how-to-get-to-mounts/.
